Can I use the plan set for
construction?
The short answer is YES if you
have puchased a CONSTRUCTION plan set. The long answer
is that any pre-designed construction plans MAY have to
be altered somewhat to conform with your building site conditions, local
building codes, etc. Normally these alterations are of a minor nature &
will require handwritten annotations on or an addendum to the plans. Each
CONSTRUCTION plan set comes with a license to construct
a single unit depicted in the plans. If you wish to construct more than one
unit, you must contact us at
designs@homeconcepts.ca
to make
appropriate arrangements.

I lost the electronic plan set PDF files on my

loss of your plan set. You must repurchase the plan set.

Only part of the plan prints on a page.
Why?
Ensure you have the proper sized paper. You may have printed a plan
set that requires 8.5 x 14 (legal) paper on letter sized (8.5 x 11) paper. The
paper size is shown at the bottom of the Adobe Acrobat® Reader® window.
When you start the printing process in Adobe Acrobat® Reader®, a print
dialogue box will open. Make sure that the proper paper size is also selected
in your printer's "PROPERTIES" settings.

I printed my plan set, but it does not
scale properly. Why?
All plans should scale properly. When you start the
printing process in Adobe Acrobat® Reader®, a print dialogue box will
open. Be sure to UNCHECK the check box shown as
SIZE TO FIT - in Acrobat® Reader® 3.0 or
FIT TO PAGE - in Acrobat® Reader® 4.0 or later.
The plans should now print to their intended scale.

I can open & view my plan set, but I can't
print the plan. What can I do?
If you have an older version of Adobe
Acrobat® Reader® download the latest version & try printing again.
If you still encounter problems, Adobe has an excellent support page on
printing issues that can be found at:
http://www.adobe.com/support/readguide.html. A simple
workaround may be to save your plan set files to floppy disks & print from
a different computer.

I want to enlarge my plans. What should I
do?
Plans on letter sized paper drawn at 1/8" = 1'-0" can be enlarged to
3/16" = 1'-0" on tabloid sized paper by any photocopying service - just set the
enlargement feature on the photocopier to 150%. Similarlly, plans drawn at
3/16" = 1'-0" can be enlarged to 1/4" = 1'-0" by setting the enlargement
feature to 133%. There are also specialty copying services available that can
reproduce the plans to any scale on any sized paper. Please consult your local
